•A principle of right and good conduct.
•A system of accepted beliefs which control behavior, especially such a system based on morals.

•Also called practical ethics
•Emerging analytical consensus reached in medical ethics over the past thirty years, studies how individual engineers perceived, articulated, and resolved moral dilemmas that arose in practice.

•Engineers are obligated to know as much as it’s reasonably possible about the technology of concern. Three areas of concern is knowledge of the joints, knowledge of the materials, and knowledge of data analysis.
