Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a tool that acts as an automatic identification technologies. RFID stored and retrieved its data remotely by using its main component. RFID comprises two main components; the transponder (tags) and the readers.

The tags has three types that is active tag, passive tag and semi passive tag. The most used frequency range for an active tag was 13.5 MHz .

RFID has lot of advantages. It obvious advantages are it can help identified an object in many within a single time. It also has wide range of coverage in identified the tagged object with its readers. Just with a single tag attach on an object, the object can be easily identified and detailed information of the object can be retrieve from the computer databases directly.

RFID gives much contribution in management of supply chain and assets, tracking and monitoring merchandise, people, live stocks and pets.

Real time location system (RTLS)

Real time location system (RTLS) is a system that helps users to localize and track down an object in real time with the assist combination of based location system technology and Geographic Information System.
RTLS is a tool in locating and tracking object and mostly for people in real time. It helps in tightening the security, helps research on spatial movement, etc.

The common and frequent adoptable based location system is using the RFID. RFID based location system is a unique system. It can transmit the location of the tagged object within millisecond.
